I have been a big fan of the Harvest Moon games for a long time... I have bought every single one that they brought out for the PS2 Platform.. So needless to say when I heard that they were finally coming out with a Harvest Moon game for the DS I was exhilirated! The only reason I dropped this game down on both ratings to 4 is because the game freezes up on me at least twice a week... It will also sometimes have my farmland on the game scrambled and my character can't walk around and till, water or plant crops in the soil. Sometimes if I just go inside my house and come back out, the scrambled screen will go away, but 50% of the time I have to turn the DS off and restart it. I have never had this happen with any of my other Harvest Moon games. Even with this, the rest of the game is quite engaging. It will not deter me from buying newer Harvest moon games on any of the platforms... I plan on buying future DS Harvest moon games as well.

This game frustrated the hell out of me. I chopped up wood and stuff for awhile and tried to make things grow but really didn't succeed. I didn't really know what to do next and wasn't enthralled with growing things or the gameplay so I quit and escorted my copy to gamestop for reselling. You can get it there :)

I really like this game, but the glitches froze my screen numerous amounts of times, eventually you get used to it. I am 14 and I have had this game for a long time, glitches are routine for my game, but the game is one of the best, it has the layout of 'a wonderful life' and the look of 'more friends of mineral town'. I have almost all of the harvest moon games and this one is a great addition.

I wish I could say this product was a great addition to my collection, but I can't. The fact is that any fun that could be had with this game is quickly overtaken by the sheer number of fatal bugs to be found.
Case in point? I only got to about halfway through my first season when the save file became corrupted and was unable to load. Although I didn't get that far in the game, having lost my progress was enough to make me turn the game off forever.
In the short amount of time I played, I experienced a number of freezes and other bugs. After looking around on the Internet, I discovered that there were several of these relatively "minor" bugs (but only in the sense that your game was not eternally lost-- in no way should a released product freeze the way this one did). There are also a few of the "fatal" ones as well. It's ridiculous.
I would suggest Harvest Moon DS Cute instead of this one. DS Cute has all the fun with none of the bugs. It's everything this game should have been.

Harvest Moon Ds will keep you playing for hours! The naughty witch princess accidently made the harvest goddess and all the harvest sprites disappear. It's up to you to find them all! In this game you get not only a free dog but also a free black cat!! Aww, it's so cute! Getting married is really fun! But it's kinda weird since you play as a boy and marry a girl (I'm a girl) But the babies are really cute! The town is alot better than in the GBA! It is much bigger and the graphics are enhanced! Pick up this game and get ready for a farming adventure of your life! Be sure not to litter, it makes people not like you! You can not marry the goddess or the witch.
