This is a fun little pirate ship. The gang plank slides in and out with the turn of the ships' wheel, and the "bedroom" swings open so you can put the tired pirates to sleep.
The ONLY issue that I had with this toy is that my son didn't understand that this boat is not meant for water, and took it in his little swimming pool. It no longer makes cannon noises, but other than that, it's ship-shape! Great imaginative play item.

What a fun toy! We bought it for our three year old nephew as a Christmas present and he absolutely loved it. His five year old sister loved it too. A great toy for a great price! We definitely recommend it.

My 2.5 year old LOVES this pirate ship. He received it last year for Christmas and he has yet to grow tired of it. It might be his favorite toy.
It is made of a sturdy plastic that can take the kind of abuse a toddler is going to put it through. The Pirates are made of the same soft plastic as the rest of the little people line. The parrot can be taken off its perch and any other little people character can be put on the perch. There is a plank that can be easily pulled out. The rear of the ship opens up to allow more play room. The crows nest and the pirate flag can be taken off and switched if the child wants to do so. There is also a section on the side of the ship that comes down to allow easy access for kids to play.
This toy is durable, it is well designed and easy for young kids and older kids to play with. (My 6.5 year old daughter has been known to play with it as well.) We have gotten our money out of it, and when my son does finally out grow it, it will be in great shape to hand down to one of our nieces to play with.

This toy is nice but for the price it really should include the extra accesories like the treasure chest, etc. Also, do comparison shopping. This is currently selling here by some other vendor for $69.99 while in the Fisher Price website it sells for $20. Target also has it for $20.
Now, if the kid is over 3 yrs old, I would suggest going with the Fisher PRice Imaginext Pirate Ship. Much much better and complete. Sells for $30 in the Fisher Price web site.

My 2 yr old loves all of his Fisher Price stuff. The pirate ship is no exception although the pirates do regularly board the FP bus as well along with the farmers and all their animals. Great toy, fun noises, durable and well who does not want to share the memories we had as kids with our FP little people? I loved my farm as a kid so I was hoping my son would love his just as much and he does plus the bus and pirates. These are good buys and have a long age range to them (1-5) so your little ones will group with it.
