Longer lasting than solar-power.
Longer lasting than crank-power.
Longer lasting than shake-power.
Longer lasting than battery-power.
Not as bright,
but you can leave this on when you nap,
and wake up in the light instead of in the dark.
Blue is the best for romance.
Yellow is the best for seeing.
Red preserves nite-vision and hides wrinkles.
When used as a bobber, green acts as a lure during night fishing.
Kids love playing with these in the pool at sunset.
Can be used as a foot-lamp when lowered on the 13" sold-seperate companion:Garmin 013-00052-00 Lanyard, Etrex
I wish I had these in the Boy Scouts.
I wish I had these in the war.
I might be spending too much time in the deep dark woods.

...but these sit on the shelf ready 'till Kingdom Come or a storm--which ever happens first. The parents have historically kept a ready supply of dead batteries on hand. A substantial delivery of these sticks provides enough product to initially satisfy the grandkids' curiosity. The remainder sit in a cupboard until called into duty. Flashlights have an advantage, but batteries grow weaker even without use, and they are pretty darn expensive. When somebody fumbles in the night to reach a flashlight, the bulb glows dimly yellow for a despairing moment and fades to darkness. The cost of these sticks seems reasonable, and there's little concern over shelf-life.

Your kids like Star Wars? Mine had fun with these non stop. I know it's not a toy, but none of my kids are dumb enough to bite into the plastic.
All colors are fun. If you want some lighting, the green and yellow work best.
