this game is a good introduction for the little ones to the more sophisticated vsmile games (4-6). some of the games are too challenging for a 3 (or even 4 or 5 year old)-like addition and subtraction up to 10! and in some of the games they have to figure out to use the little red button so spider man can use a web to jump over a big whole - just jumping won't do it. after i finally figured it out and showed my son, he could do it though. he also likes the grocery store part. he will tell me all the items that (he thinks) he needs and we go around looking for them. he is starting to figure out to find the cake and the bread together and the fruits together - so I think it is teaching him -if not about the foodgroups - just about grouping in general. he likes it, and that's most important. the animation in good. i don't think it is an easy or meaningful game for a typical 3 year old to play (as suggested by the suggested age from toysrus)but 4 and up it's okay, especially with a parents help.

My 3-year old just got this game, and he LOVES it. Especially the grocery store part. Some other parts are a little challenging for him, but I know he will have it mastered in not time. Until he played this game, I didn't even realize that he could recognize numbers by sight, although he can already count. Very educational!

This game is really great for Pre-Schoolers and above. I bought it for my son when he was 3 and a half. He had a hard time with it because it had areas that he didn't know were off-screen (garbage collecting portion). The factory portion was really hard for anyone younger than 5 because the battery match-up you have to understand and know patterns really well. It is a great game for kids in Kindergarten and for kids who pick up details really well. It seems to start out like the whole game will be easy for a younger kid, but then it picks up into harder games.

Both my son and daughter enjoy this one! The four year old is helped with letter recognintion and the six year likes the math problems. This is more like an actual non-educational video game, where they can dodge flying objects, swing across rivers and the like.
