Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Glorious Anime
The first time I saw this movie I was quite disappointed. The film, I felt, was highly un-Bebop (though I've only seen a couple episodes, so I ain't exactly knowledgable). It delved too deeply into traditionally pretentious anime themes of dream worlds and such, without enough snazzy, devil-may-care antics from Spike and crew.

However, upon second viewing, I realized the true beauty of the film. Though still a bit pretentious, it delivers the goods with plenty of action and relentless style. Even the butterfly thing, which I initially dismissed as lame, was quite cool, especially when considering the connection between the first and (very) last scenes.

The Bebop crew all strut their stuff to perfection; and let's face it, Jet is just a big cute teddy bear. I want to hug him and pinch his cute widdle cheeks. Eh, anyways, the only one that could've used some work was Fay. She didn't have adequate development or opportunity to express all the potential of her character.

Spike, while exhibiting his trademark apathy, is done remarkable justice. We see a complexity to his nature that is appealing and sympathetic. And c'mon, the confrontation with Vincent on the train ("you a**hole") is one of the greatest in film history.

A good ride; provocative and stylish. Anime don't get much better than this

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A great addition to the world of Bebop
Having been a huge fan of the Cowboy Bebop episodes, I was curious to see how a full-length movie could compare. The series was incredible, with great characters, action scenes, and of course the music by Yokko Kano and the Seatbelts. The movie definitely continued these traits and even improved upon some. The animation is beautiful, some of the best I've seen in an anime, and looks much prettier than the series (there are more frames in the movie than in the show). The music was suprisingly up to par with the music from the episodes... a feat easier said than done. Though it may sound odd, the music of Bebop plays a huge role throughout the entire series and movie. Basically, if you are a fan of the Cowboy Bebop episodes, this is a must see movie. Knowing the characters and the style of Bebop well makes watching the movie a better experience. And even without seeing all the episodes, this is still a great anime.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - One of the best times I've had with Spike and the gang
Thankfully the producers did not attempt to undo the ending of the Bebop series with this movie. What we have here is a previously undocumented adventure of the crew of the Bebop. Filled with all the fun and slick style expected of the series.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - WOW!
If anyone calls themselves a cow-boy beebop fan,They will LOVE this movie.Great music,Funny dilogle and of course,Lots of actoin and lots of...Ed!!!!!Its full of action and comady. Its the best movie I've seen in a LONG time!
Just one thing to Remember,It ain't no Lonny toons movie!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Pretty good movie for a non-cbbb fan, Great movie for a fan!
Personally, I liked the movie. But I've also seen all of the episodes, which helps you understand a lot. The movie Doesn't introduce the charaters, so if you've never seen the show before you'll kind of be like, "Who are these people? Why is the dog smarter then all of them, why does the chic in yellow look like a [prostitute], why is the little girl look and act like she stuck her finger in a light shock-it?, etc. etc." All in all it was a pretty good movie. I rated it with a 4 for two reasons. 1) Im a huge fan, the music rocked, and cool special features. 2) LIke I said, it was a pretty good movie, but really didn't feel like a movie, just like a long episode of the show or something.
Another really cool thing about this movie is that you can find it at almost every Wal*Mart. So if your not big on ordering off the internet, or just can't wait that long, its a plus.
