Thrilling fun for kids and teenagers! This toy/ride/event draws kids like a magnet. Everybody loves it. Makes our backyard into a party. Very sturdy and well made--worth the investment. Ours lasted a whole childhood long, and still going strong.

The kids are very happy with this. My kids, the neighbor kids and all the kids on our street.
I didn't have two trees to put this up between so I sank a 12' post on the low end. I had to add a tension line to the other side of the post to make it work (it was bowing in and causing the line to sink to too low). Works great now. I only wish I'd gotten the 90' version (we have the 70').

I agree with other reviews that there is a lot more to the setup than instructions provide. One very important detail is that if you wrap something tight and abrasive around a tree limb it will eventually cut through the bark and destroy the outer most ring. If this happens the limb will die. Instead, use a steel bracket with 2, 1/2" holes, pre-drill with a 7/16" blade bit, and secure with 1/2" x 6" lag bolts. This setup can hold 1000 lbs+ and is the method I used to build my tree house

We have owned this zip line for two years now. The set up is MUCH more difficult then the directions would have you believe. Pulling the wire around the tree and tightening it as far as possible requires a lot of strength. Then, each year the wire has sagged at bit more...although the tension can be increased easily enough with 'turning' the bit. However we are now at its tightest and it still sags. My kids only weigh 50 and 70 pounds so we aren't stressing it. I am now at the point where I will have to 'rewrap' the wire. Like other reviewers, the angle must be higher than the directions state in order for the ride to not stop in the middle. We are at 15ft down to 5 ft. Wish I had a higher ladder so I could set it up a bit higher. Even with my wimpy girls they wish the ride were a bit faster. The ride stops a good 8 feet from the bottom tree so its a pretty short 'ride.' I'll do my best since I have to rewrap it anyway. (as long as it doesn't send the kids INTO the tree that is...)
I am not looking forward to the job, but with all that being said.....
Once it is set up - the ride is Worth It!
After 2 years of easy use everything is still running smoothly - although we do oil the wheels and retighted the hand piece a couple of times during the year.

I think this product needs a LOT of hands-on supervision. My son slipped off and knocked the wind out himself TWICE on the 2nd day of trying this. After a couple of weeks, he finally regained his confidence to try it when a friend was over -- and his 6 y.o. friend slipped and knocked the wind out of herself (almost had to call the paramedics). Knowing what I know now... I would NOT buy this product for kids under 8 (follow the age recommendations!!!!!). I would like to take a pair of wire cutters and cut it down....
