Sobering. If this book is even half right, there are great implications.
Too bad that he says, "it is obvious from [the image] that [such and such]
is". Not obvious to ME! Of course a grainy black and white book image cannot do justice to what he sees, in the photos. This is the problem of such image discloseures, the original is not there for us to see. He has the originals, we have to take what he says on his word.
To me, the "martian city" looks a bit, on the image, to be a jumble of rocky mounds. But so would some of our ancient ruins seen from space!
I issue a "CALL" here. for amateur astronomers! the telescopes coupled with digital cameras, are now capible of very very detailed images taken of the moon and of mars. Nowadays, there are amateurs who have found new comets. There are amateurs who take pictures of stars, stars that are in better focus than what hubble produced.
The Moon: surely someone could spot some mysterious object, someone not connected with any "adjenda" to deny such a find.

Yes, I have more time and a few more thoughts, on this very Disquieting book.
1...There are many "analomies" in History, ancient history, and in fossil records. There are internet sites that have an "obvious" adjenda to "push, like of the Christian fundamentalists who try to prove to us all that "mankind walked with the dinosaurs", thus disproving Evolution and proving the idea of "all of the earth is created within 4000 years"!
BUT!
They dredge up from the back rooms of museums and old newspaper archives, certain objects, events. Reported events that cast a different light upon our past, like of the newspaper account of the discovery of the trail of Human footprints walking across an ancient mud flat, a heel crushed a TROILIBYTE deeper into the mud, a time way way before any dinosaur ever walked the earth!
Thus books like this ask Questions, questions that tend to be rejected, much like that account that I have read that tells of a 1970s discovery of wine Amphora, from a ship sinking, in the bay of Rio de Janeiro. A Roman, maybe, ship! The authorities, I read, placed 40 feet of mud over the ship, to make sure that no one ever found it again: too too disturbing to everyone at the University and the Powers that be, there, then!
Thus even if this book is a bit "off", the moon and mars could indeed have traces upon them of Visitors from elsewheres! Thus it takes these "radical thinkers" to find these accounts, even if they "overdramitize", perhaps, their case!
2...I have read, since, that the thinkings of some people, who have read this book, is that this advanced martian civilization was destroyed within days, by some great ???astroid?? hitting mars.
Not only does such a event, if true, unmask the fact of an advanced civilization, in our past, turning us all into "the south sea islanders 30 minutes before the first white man's ships sailed into view, thus making us all "retards"", this astroid event would cast us all into "sitting ducks", the Ultimate Vulnerability, sitting naked in the cosmos; all of us could go at any moment!!
A THOUGHT: that people who are saying that this civilization was destroyed in some great cataclysm, are actually uncounsciously Prophecising our OWN catacylysm-to-come! [2012?]
[many science fiction stories are thinly veiled prophecies, or political comments]
Or: maybe just the Fear of such happening to our own!
3...the Subject of this book , to me, has remarkable similarities to the
"Da Vinci Code", ideas: that before Jesus was the Temple cults and that they would only let the Elite be inducted into their inner
mysteries, and soon the "Elite" meant "the upper crust, people who thought themselves better in every way than of the Masses"!
Thus the idea, in this book, of the Inner circles of the Old Lodge inferring that only mankind's Elite should face the alien civilization, Meaning THEM! Then these Elite would rule over us all, the Super-race Rulers of the lower humanity, meaning "you and I"!
As even a science fiction "novel" I give this book a 5-star!
just what *would* the authorities DO, if indeed they found that the moon had Ruins on it, or even only just a 5,000 year old "moon rover" vehicle?!
would they repress it to us all over the Fear such knowledge cause?
Or, would they cover it up because they want it for themselves?

What would you do, with a knowledge of this, knowing that mankind itself could have been Created: these aliens set up bases on the moon while they geneticly modified some apes, here on earth. That we all are Farmed, like of an Oyster farm on the seabed, and that maybe some of these Farmers are not only still out there, but that they will come back for the Harvest!!

Has the American space agency, with its fine legacy of putting a man on the moon, been lying to us? Does its mission have a darker purpose than pure science and has it made potentially explosive discoveries in its exploration of the solar system?
I've been interested in Richard Hoagland's work for a number of years, since he took on the cause of the "Face on Mars" and I've enjoyed exploring his website (enterprisemission.com), with its fascinating theory of hyperdimensional physics and his evidence that there are ruins of a civilization in the Cydonia region of Mars. Hoagland may sound like a nut but he puts forth an interesting and at times, convincing, case. Along with colleague Mike Bara, he has finally put it all together in this book, which persuasively argues that NASA is not quite what it seems to be. The book is liberally illustrated, with NASA's own photos along with others.
Let's get right to what Hoagland alleges in this book. While he's best known for his theories about Mars, Hoagland also tackles NASA's missions to the moon. He claims that the astronauts found ruins on the moon, specifically evidence of domes that once covered large portions of the surface. He backs this up with photos showing strange lines and markings in the sky over portions of the moon. Some of these photos come from a former NASA employee, Ken Johnston, who had worked at NASA as a test pilot and later was in charge of cataloging and storing photos from the moon flights. Johnston was shocked to be told one day by his superiors to destroy "all the copies of the original lunar photography" from the Apollo program. Instead, Johnston kept a set of the photos. He later contacted Hoagland and showed him the prints (mostly taken by the astronauts with a Hasselblad camera). Many of the other images (all of the Mars pictures) are digital, and the arguments about the "raw data" are highly technical. The arguments as to the validity of these photos relates to the types of processes and manipulation you can perform with digital images, but it comes down to this: it is fairly easy, with the aid of good photo editing software, to alter images to remove anything you don't want anyone to see. Is that what NASA has done with its Mars images?
I kept thinking that if our astronauts had found evidence of previous visitations and habitation on the moon, wouldn't someone eventually say something? Hoagland contends that there have been hints from the men who went to the moon, but that NASA would have many means of keeping them loyal - and quiet. He cites the Brookings Report, written in 1959 to comment on the implications of exploring space, which reported that there was a near-certainty that such exploration would find intelligent life. The report recommended that such findings should be kept from the public, to avoid disruption to society, and Hoagland contends that that is what NASA has done. He even states that the astronauts were hypnotized when they got back to earth to help erase the memory of some of what they saw on the moon.
What about Mars? Hoagland believes the Cydonia region is full of artificial constructions, and he provides photo evidence. The Face is the best-known of the constructions, but is certainly not the only piece of evidence. And, of course, NASA has done everything it can to dissuade the public from the idea that it is actually a face. They have always dismissed it as "a trick of light and shadow." We now have pictures of Mars from a number of successful robot journeys to the Red Planet, and we have more photos of Cydonia and the Face, and the newer pictures tend to confirm the earlier hypotheses that these constructions are artificial. Many of the shapes, and the geometry of their placement, mimic monuments on Earth; pyramids, for example. This book does not get into speculation as to who built the Martian monuments or how long ago that might have been. But Hoagland's earlier book, Monuments of Mars, does speculate about connections between those monuments and ancient ruins on Earth. Another excellent book about Mars that examines the possibility of a Mars-Earth link is Graham Hancock's book, The Mars Mystery: The Secret Connection Between Earth and the Red Planet Could the ancient Martians have been us - could human beings have come to Earth from a dying planet, Mars? Could they have left messages in the monuments they constructed on Mars about our human ancestry?
Dark Mission provides us with yet another theory about the assasination of President John F. Kennedy, who initiated the program to send men to the moon. There is solid evidence that Kennedy wanted to work with the Soviets on a space program. While the popular story is that the "space race" pitted the US against our cold war enemy, the Soviet Union, that may not have been what Kennedy intended. JFK did not live to see his dream fulfilled, and the US won the race to the moon, but could the idea of working with what President Reagan years later called "the evil empire" have been sufficient motivation for someone to kill JFK? Perhaps the inclusion of this material on the Kennedy assasination will simply lead to more ridicule for Hoagland's overall theories, but it seems to me to be at least as good a motive as the others that have been suggested (the Mafia, the Cubans, the CIA, etc).
I was a huge JFK fan, so I am not offended by Hoagland's picture of him as the inspiring leader who wanted peace, not war. But I have a little more trouble with his notion that NASA is obsessed with rituals dating back to ancient civilizations and kept alive by secret societies. Are we really to make something out of the fact that many top NASA officials have been Masons (as were many astronauts, including Buzz Aldrin who brought a masonic flag to the moon)? How about the influence of Nazis, people like Werner Von Braun (and the book builds a case that he WAS a Nazi)? Does NASA really time its launches to coincide with ritual dates? I can't say they don't, but it does sound a bit crazy.
I enjoyed reading this book, even though it left me back where I started from - thinking Richard Hoagland has some interesting ideas that are worth a serious look, but not being totally convinced either. I wish the book had an index so I could quickly find information I want to check with other sources.
It is very sad to me that people are questioning whether the moon landings ever actually happened. That is sheer ignorance, but might serve NASA's purposes as disinformation in case too much comes out about what they really found on the lunar surface. Denying we went to the moon is like denying the Holocaust. As a generation that has no memory of those events take their place as world leaders, such ignorance can be easily spread. It totally stops the REAL questions we should be asking. Like these: Why haven't we gone back to the moon? What did NASA really find there? And if we do go back (as NASA is planning), will they start telling us the truth about what they find?

It's amazing to me how I've managed to be oblivious to all the various accusations/revelations identified in this book. Perhaps that's why I enjoyed reading it.
The consistent patterns of landing sites, launch times, etc. and the 19.5 degree (and a couple other key measurements) to the horizon location of key celestial objects was amazing (if true). Read the book if you want to know more -- or other 'reviewers' who can't help but to tell all.
Monuments on Mars? An interesting theory on the geometry of the site(s) and the 'signals' they supposedly convey. The reality of a "face" on Mars is hard for me to agree or disagree with based on the photos.
The location of Jupiters 'red spot', Neptune's storms, sunspots (according to the book, but I couldn't confirm it), even Hawaii's volcanoes (I looked on a globe, this wasn't in the book) at 19.5 degrees from the equator are simply fascinating given the theory offered regarding a 4th dimension that influences energy. Why it might be related to where the points of a tetrahedron in a sphere contacts the sphere is beyond me. But that doesn't say it might not be true.
On the negative side, many of the "findings" were simply hard to believe - at least I had a hard time seeing what they claimed to see in the photos. And sometimes the assertions were simply inconsistent with the reality of the NASA missions. As an example - miles high glass-like ruins on the moon. Near the landing sites of Apollo (and elsewhere). How the heck did the astronauts land among them?
All in all, I'd highly recommend this book. Conspiracy buffs will completely enjoy it. Anti-conspiracy buffs will get a good laugh.

I'm a huge fan of Coast to Coast AM. Hell, I'm a subscriber! I'm also an amateur astronomer and a bit of a conspiracy buff. So when regular guest Richard C. Hoagland announced that he and Mike Bara were releasing a book about the secret goings-on of NASA, I was absolutely giddy.
I didn't even have to get past the cover before I had my first laugh. Whoever did the photoshop job of the Masonic flag failed to remove the American flag from the astronaut's visor! While Hoagland and Bara have many of their facts somewhat correct, i.e., Project Paperclip, occult influences, history, etc., the idea that Hoagland calls himself a science adviser and consultant to NASA is laughable if not a *huge* stretch. If NASA is approaching this guy for advice, our space program is freaking screwed!
Where to start...
Ah! The lunar domes!
In Chapter 4, entitled, The Crystal Towers of the Moon, the author(s) discuss what they claim is proof that there are glass domes on the surface of the moon. As a matter of fact, on page 157 they quote Alan Bean, pilot of the Apollo 12 lunar module as he answered the following question in November 1969 by Discover magazine:
What did the sky look like from the moon?
Bean: It looks like a shiny black. It doesn't look like Earth black at night. Up there, space has a real shiny look. It reminded me a little bit of patent-leather-shoes. And I kept asking myself, as I looked at it, why does it seem so shiny?"
Hoagland goes on to say:
"The core prediction of Hoagland's entire lunar dome hypothesis is that what we (and the astronauts) are seeing in the sky-in all these untouched lunar images-is glass. Lots and lots of glass...that this is what Alan Bean, the astronaut-turned-artist, was subconsciously remembering from his own epic journey to the moon..."
Um, hey Richard? Maybe the reason the sky looked shiny is because he was wearing a freaking reflective face shield?!
Aside from this obvious fact, I have to ask, if Bean was looking up at space from under a glass dome, how in the world was he able to pilot the lunar module past the dome in the first place? Surely, if there were a glass dome, Apollo 12 would have been reduced to a grease stain splattered on a glass dome arching high above the lunar surface.
Domes on the moon? Uh-huh. Go smoke another one, Richard.
Speaking of glass domes, on page 174, Hoagland states that glass would be an ideal building material on the lunar surface. So much so, that it would be approximately twice as strong as steel. However, in subsequent pages we read that there are shattered remnants of these glass domes around the moon. On page 177 we read:
"...clearly standing on the Moon underneath an immense canopy of shattered, deep blue, geometric lunar glass..."
So, which is it? Is glass on the surface of the Moon as strong as Hoagland says it is, or not? Surely, there would be no shattered glass on the moon if the glass is twice as strong as steel.
Continuing on in chapter 4, Hoagland states that there are massive architectural structures on the Moon. Figure 4-13 displays the lunar surface with lines visible in the background. You can clearly see the curvature of the Moon, with these "structures" rising for what would have to be hundreds of miles above the Moon. If that were the case, then any telescope of decent quality should pick up these beams with no problem at all.
Hoagland is also very full of himself and his debating skill, or more appropriately the lack thereof. He targets people within the scientific community and the government for shoddy research. This wouldn't be such a bad thing if Mr. Hoagland did some factual research of his own and strayed from unproven, unsubstantiated speculations.
So, there you have it. A few crappy photos taken from a copy of a copy of a copy, a few very bad assertions, mix in some wild speculation, retrofit the data (actual or speculative), trash everyone else around you with real credentials (while you distort your own), toss in a few facts to make it seem true, and even you could write your very own pseudo-science book!
I could go on and on picking this book apart, but I'll stop. I suggest that Hoagland and Bara find new careers. I hear Wal-Mart is hiring.

Ordered four(4)more copies to 'pass-around', i.e., to share in the TRUTH of this matter. There is no conspiracy theory promoted by the Author(s), but there certainly appears to be a conspiracy going on within N.A.S.A., and the rest of the government agencies involved in the cover-up..,and that is NO THEORY, but as factual as the facts shown in the book about the DARK MISSION that is going on all around us! TAKE A PLUNGE INTO REALITY and read this book, the facts are checkable, so, do so, and be sure to have your family member(s), friend(s), etc., read this book! For those who have both; claimed to have read this book, (which I doubt), and have dis-credited it and the Authors, all I can say is that they are part of the problem, i.e., treacherous in their allegations, and wouldn't know a fact if they saw one, or if it bit 'em in the butt! This book has basically proven that NASA, et-al, have committed multiple fraudulent actions that indicate a failure to reveal what was really found on Earth's Moon, and on the Planet Mars, and the deep connection our most earliest civilizations had with this here-to-before hidden history. We can 'evolve' from destructive war oriented economics and instead elicit constructive cosmic oriented economics IF we can get an honest handle on this subject. First, WE the PEOPLE, as the Soverign American Nation, must get together on the same page and DEMAND an inquiry of the evidence, (facts found in this book), which will undenialably prove to be absoulutely true of a gross cover-up. If we can give illegal aliens amnesty, then we can give NASA amnesty. Secondly, then get to work, creating jobs, infrastructure, etc., at exploring on and off world of that evidence found. OR..,IF NOT, then we might just find ourselves continuing on in a war torn world..,business as usual. Consider the options. The lie, or the Truth! The last words in this book ought to wake up every red-blooded American..,and if it does not, then you need to take a hard look in a mirror.
