This is a wonderful book for beginners and advanced knitters. I bought it after my friend loaned me hers. The pictures help guide you when words aren't enough. I would recommend that all knitters buy this book as a quick guide and reference.

Vogue Knitting: The Ultimate Knitting Book
This is an excellent knitting guide. I took an intermediate class and my knitting instructor recommended this book and it was excellent in it's instruction and pictures.

If you love knitting this is an excellent addition to your library. The book is beautifully laid out and wide-ranging. The introductory history of knitting section is particularly interesting. There isn't an area of knitting that it doesn't touch on. However, if there is an area of knitting--e.g. knitting in the round--that you want to explore in depth, you'll have to go to another book.

A very good investment for knitters of any level.
