I have many travel guides to beautiful places around the United States, but this book is the best I have seen. The photos are stunning, and there is just the right amount of information for a first time traveler to the area. I am really happy that I chose this as my guide to Acadia.

I highly recommend this guide book. The author takes you on a very personal look at this incredible state park in Maine. The photography is amazing, as well.

Especially for the first time visitors, this book is great. Lots of usefull tips and suggestions on a variety of topics. From scenic views to great food and easy routes around, this book has it all.

My daughters and I are traveling to Mt. Desert Island in Sept. I bought this book to prepare for our trip. I'm so excited that I'm sending one to my daughters.

James Kaiser has written an infromative, plus colorfully photographed book. I read this book prior to traveling to Acadia for a bike tour for additional information. Very good! Even managed a few of the recommended hikes after biking.
