My wife and I discovered this show last year from an article in Science Magazine. We learned that the show has physicists on staff to help with the writing and to keep the science accurate. That may be one reason we like it. But, mostly, we like this series because it is so funny, and we absolutely love all the main characters. I just have to say that this is one of my favorite shows out there. Great writing, great acting, and lots of great laughs. I notice some people mentioned the "canned laughter". Let me just dispel that myth as false. I have been to a taping (see my review of the taping: http://jcasner.blogspot.com/2008/10/big-bang-theory.html), and can assure you that the laughter is real. Just a superb show, all around!

They say that the more complex the mind the more need there is for play. While in college I had a physics major tell me his description of the college years. When you are a freshmen and a sophomore you talk to everyone. When you are a junior you talk only to those in your grade level. I don't get it. If you guys want people to buy this digital content, you need to price it appropriately...come on. DVD version is $10 cheaper....and once I buy it, I can rip it to my computer and re-sell it on EBAY. This should cost 1/2 of what the DVD version costs.
