Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Remember the red wooly men?
The first disc or season 1 was excellent. Perfect pacing. Engaging plots and passable acting.

The second disc changed the format of the show from a half hour thingy to a full houred marathon. It became too long and so became very boring. Chucked it into storage.

If you get it, just watch the first disc and not mar your appreciation for this fine series by watching the rest.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - It's good for kids.....
.....but I'm not a kid. From an adult viewpoint, there are far better shows to watch if you enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, or space opera. This show is extremely simplistic and perhaps worth a revisit for nostalgia, but not worth spending money.

A few series I recommend (either for yourself or kids) that won't insult the intelligence: Star Trek, Twilight Zone, Planet of the Apes Weekly Series, Land of the Lost, Buck Rogers, Quantum Leap, Outer Limits, Stargate.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Season One Was Fun
The 28 episodes of the Saturday morning sci-fi series "Jason of Star Command" were originally broadcast on CBS from 1978-1980. The first season's 16 episodes (15 minutes each) were the live action portion of "Tarzan and the Super 7". The 12 episodes from Season Two had their own thirty-minute time-slot.

The series was a "Space Academy" spin-off with a number of "Star Wars" features. It may remind contemporary viewers of the "Buck Rogers" series, or at least a low budget version targeted ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Jason of Star Command - The Complete Series
WOW memories flood back when this one was aired in Australia in the late 70's, This series make me into the sci-fi addict I am happily am today, Poor effects, sloppy acting and hunky actors. What more can you want?.
A top series in my book
