  • Interview (HD, 5 minutes) - Basically a coda to the picture-in-picture track (see HD Exclusives below), Bluth, Goldman and Dyer give a wider overview of 'Space Ace's reception, it's place in the arcade animation trilogy shared with the 'Dragon's Lair' games, and how they still receive mail about Ace from fans
  • Demonstration Reel (HD, 3 minutes) - a restoration demonstration, using split-screen to compare the new Blu-ray remaster with past video releases
  • Previews - video trailers for 'Space Ace,' 'Dragon's Lair,' and the upcoming (but as yet unscheduled) 'Dragon's Lair II - Time Warp.'
  • Video Commentary (HD) - a picture-in-picture interview with Don Bluth, Gary Goldman, and Rick Dyer, who appear together in a PIP box in the top right corner. They narrate the complete 24-minute game as if it was a stand-alone short film (no interruptions for gameplay, etc.) They cover the gestation of the project as an immediate spin-off from 'Dragon's Lair,' but with the emphasis on upping the pace and speed of the game, as well as the voice talent, animation, and eventual success of the game

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Space Ace - BLU-RAY
Bought this on the Amiga many moons ago.
This brings back fond memories when we were amazed at the standard of grapics the 16 bit era produced.

This lives up to this and as i missed playing this in the arcade i hope to see the bits probably left out of the Amiga Version.

Top quality, slight graining but then it was originally drawn in the 80's.

Highly recomended.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - its buggy on PS3
fun game... then the bug comes in. i got it from netflick played on PS3. the response time is a little slow but was having fun until the middle of the game. Black screen and PS3 telling me "invalid disc". basically i could not finish the game.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Space Ace - Very impressive version
The high definition remastering of this game is very impressive. I would recommend this to anyone who owns a blu ray player and likes Don Bluth's animation.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love the transfer to Blu-ray, The extra features make it worth it
I picked up this with Dragon's Lair on Blu-ray and I played them both on my Playstation 3.

I wasn't able to play the arcade version of this game. It was just not around in the arcades that I went to. However it was one that I have always wanted to play/own.

Again, the extra features make this version of the game worth owning. I love seeing the creators talk about their work and what they did to accomplish it. They actually used stop motion and live action shots in this ... Read More
