Description:

ok if you like blood gore/ romance type anime this is perfect this series is deffinalty in my top 2. great story plot, alot of violence WHAT more could you ask for? i HIGHLY recomend this anime to any anime fans

I was very disappointed in this anime. It was very pretty, I got to see a lot of nice boobs, but the darker story lines didn't even really seem to fit the story they seemed more there for shock value. And I guess this is a bit of a spoiler but I would have like to have been warned about the strong overtones of sexual abuse on such a young girl. I have now seen all of Elfen Lied and I'm re-watching it - this time with my wife, who also likes it even though she doesn't like anime.
Although Elfen Lied goes out of its way to offend (some viewers may find themselves turning off due to excessive nudity or the brutal violence) and although the pacing will likely turn off younger anime fans who might want Elfen Lied's first five minutes to continue throughout the series, and although the show blends anime genres with abandon, there is ... Right from the start it takes off and draws you in. I got home from work at 1 in the morning and figured I would watch a couple of Episodes. Well 6am roles around and had it not been so late I would have watched it all in one sitting. The animation is solid...the story keeps you hooked and the only problem I had with it was the flash back episodes...they made them with the huge eyes. I just wish there was a lot more of it.
