This is the best dragon-themed game that I've played. I've only had this game for a short time, but we've played it several times each week and had a lot of fun. The rules are fairly easy to follow, but you do need to read all of the rules. There isn't any repeating, so some key points may be missed if you don't read the entire booklet before playing. We played a practice game while going through the rules, and that helped since we didn't care what the outcome was. We've also had some fun making ... Read More

My son had been asking for this game since seeing it. He LOVES all the Ology books that he has and was sure he would love the game. He was right, and I realy enjoyed as well. I definitly recommend playing it with the whole family.

I have just finished playing this with my brother and my 2 children (10 & 13) and this game caused a lot of problems.
The rule book is an 8 page booklet that is quick and simple to read - but doesn't cover every situation
- Can tickets be used in trades?
- Can a dragon be used in trades? (Someone did actually do this in our game, to great advantage)
- Do you have to take a turn? We assumed you had to, then we had another problem - can you use a transport card to stay ... Read More

I found this game a little complicated the first time around. Keep the directions handy the first time even if you have read them.
After that, it is so much fun! Easy to play once you get the hang of it. The different modes of travel have different rules as you go around the world taming dragons.
I liked that you get to travel wherever you wish (with the right card), forward, backwards, over the ocean by balloon!
The spell cards (cunfusion-shuffle all you opponents cards together and ... Read More

I was given this game as a birthday gift more than a year ago, and since then, it is *the* game most often played in our home. My eight-year-old son especially loves it. We sometimes modify the rules a bit - the game is usually over too quickly with just the two of us if we each only collect three dragons, so we go for four instead. In terms of entertainment value and "staying power," I give this game five stars. (There aren't many games that we've played over and over like this one).
