My 2.5 yr old son loves his "words" puzzles. So I bought these. They are double sided and he choses whether to do the "red side" or the "blue side".
But we also have the same sort of puzzle idea from Carson Dellosa and they are SOOO much better. They are NOT double sided, but the pictures are nicer, the letters are CAPITAL, not lower case, and the pieces can NOT be used with other pieces. They are all cut to fit together with only the other pieces of the SAME word. It's great. ... Read More

I got these puzzles for my daughter last December when she was almost 3.5 years old. She already knew her letters and some letter sounds and could spell cat and dog. She has had fun putting the puzzles together and spelling words. I recently saw them in her 4-year-old preschool class this year. They also have 4-letter puzzles.
