Rez, the action shooter brought to you by Tetsuya Mizuguchi (the talent behind Space Channel 5 and Sega Rally), is a fast-moving, wire-frame adventure backed by industrial beats. The story of Rez takes you deep into the world's computer network, which has recently been updated to handle the overload of information brought by the rapid expansion of the information age. The core of the new network is known as Eden, an extremely advanced artificial intelligence.
But problems begin when Eden becomes self-aware and suffers a breakdown. You must take control of the network while you manically search for Eden to bring it back online. The network was built to keep intruders out at all costs, so you'll have to fight off enemies from all sides. To reach the system's core, you'll need to shoot your way through each area and take out its specific firewall (boss) to wipe out that part of the system. By hacking the system, you'll alter the visual output and even take over the music, creating your own rhythms and eye candy as you dig deeper into the dreamlike cyberworld.

Not your ordinary shooter game. I got this game only a day ago and It is exactly what I was looking for. I knew there was something like this out there. Hard to find a lot of information about this game in the local retail stores but there were some really good reviews here on the Amazon site. If you've googled this game (you should) then you know that some versions of it came with an USB accessory which vibrates in time with the actions on the game.
THIS MAKES THE GAME.
I bought a DRMN Trance Vibe (google it) and a Butterfly (this is a rubber butterfly that incorporates straps to hold it in place & incorporates a "rumble pack" like your Dual Shock controllers have.. )

Words cannot describe this game. I could end the review there but instead I'll try. Rez is the shooter sequel to Space Channel 5, wherin you navigate the inside of a Network as a polygonal avatar, destroying enemies in an attempt to bypass security and hack a sort of confused Master Control kind of program in a trippy philosophical 3D flying adventure. The game is one of the best ever made, but I wish that I have gotten it in its original packaging. The one that I received from VideoGamesDiva Amazon seller was more like a copied version, but it still works exactly the same.

This is a unique game. a Musical shooter with little actual story, but fun to play if you like music, rhythm and unusually beautiful graphics. It's beautiful though, and later levels are stuningly pretty both visually and musically. This game can be thought of as boring though, by alot of people, for it's lack of plot, and redundant gameplay. It also seems to take a while to adjust to the camera.
