Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Great shipping! and price
This book came highly recommended from a friend to be the scariest book ever. I am finding it hard to kee my attention. It is not very scary and way too much dialog. Haven't got 1/2 way through yet. maybe it'll get better

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Never has a Horror Novel left this kind of impact on me before
I expected horror, sure. But I got HORROR. Stuff that made me cringe, stuff that made me have nightmares, stuff that I could picture vividly, horrifically. And I cried. I cried for the villains. I cried for the victims. I cried for all the children. I don't think I've ever cried during a horror book before. Unless A Child Called It counts. But man, this one messes with your head. Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Title = BAD, Story = Good, Editor =Terrible.
I was not in a hurry to read this book, the title just seemed so... Short synopsis: The tale is told by a ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Lukewarm horror, juvenile style
"Mr Hands" was fine as a concept, but the exposition was pretty weak, especially the endless "cute" banter between those characters listening to the story, as told by a visitor to a bar. While reading this one, I kept thinking: "Braunbeck's wit is to prose as country & western lyrics are to poetry"--in other words, banal and pointless. Very little of the (allegedly) humorous exchange served to advance the plot. Indeed, I got the impression that much of it was probably included as a form of inside ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A must for Koontz and King fans
This was the first book I had ever read by this author. To be honest, I liked the cover! And I was right. It was fun and enticing! Horror fans read this!
