Product Description: Let the Games Begin....
Quillan is a territory on the verge of destruction. The people have lost control of their own future and must struggle simply to survive. The only chance they have of finding a better life is by playing the Quillan Games. Hosted by a strange pair of game masters, Veego and LaBerge, the games are a mix of sport and combat. They use the people of Quillan as pawns for their amusement as they force them to enter competitions that range from physical battles, to impossible obstacle courses, to computer-driven tests of agility. To triumph in the games is to live the life of a king. To lose is to die.
This is the dangerous and deadly situation Bobby Pendragon finds on Quillan. He quickly realizes that the only way to save this troubled territory is to beat Veego and LaBerge at their own games and dismantle their horrible fun house. But there is more at stake for Bobby. The prize for winning the Quillan Games may be discovering the truth of what it really means a Traveler.

Good read. I still like the first book in the series the best...but this was a good book. Easy to follow. Good mixture of suspense and humor.

The Pendragon Series is exceptional. It is imaginative and fast moving. It is especially a great series for middle school students because it is about a boy of their age group. Not only that, but it is about a boy who struggles with problems, yet chooses to be a good person. He follows his conscience and opts to do what he knows and feels is right, not taking the easy way out. Pendragon is a teen-age hero who makes mistakes but owns up to them, learns from them and becomes a better person because ... Read More

D. J. MacHalle do it again. A great book, with many twisting plots. Always bringing new hanging points to the series.

This book had me confused for white a long time. I thought at first that this was more of comedy than action/adventure. But then at the very end a traveler turns sour and it turns into another Reality Bug. Very sad and serious. I didn't know what to think at first but than I decided Bobby probably didn't either.
One of the best parts of the whole book is where Bobby is running in a forest getting chased by clowns. As you find out, Bobby hates clowns. he than prceeds to rant about how much he hates ... Read More
