Gotta love the "Prey" series...just when you think it can't get better...it DOES!!!! Mr Sanford is just awesome...sucks you right in and keeps you wanting more...and more...and believe me, he delivers!!!

In the last Prey book, the reader did not know who the bad guy was. In this one, Night Prey, the identity of the killer is known to the reader, and the reader is allowed into his psyche and is a part of the deterioration of that psyche. Both presentations of these stories were done well. Usually I like figuring out who the killer is, but Sandford does both ways in a compelling manner. Like all of Sandford's Prey series Night Prey is tightly plotted and fast paced. For fan's of the thriller/mystery genre' like myself, this is well worth the investment of your time.

Sandford, a local Minnesota author with national appeal, gives us one of the most disturbing and terrifying murderers his has ever written about. This is a thrilling work from the very beginning.

A terrific, entertaining page-turner, and- with its mentally deteriorating serial killer, disturbingly bloody crimes, cops putting their heads together to figure out how best to catch the killer, and personal issues facing the cops as they try to do their jobs- very reminiscent of probably my all-time favorite cops-chasing-a-killer thriller, the classic "The First Deadly Sin," by Lawrence Sanders.
