Amazon.com: BOOM BLOX, is the first game developed in collaboration between two giants of multimedia entertainment, Electronic Arts and director/producer, Steven Spielberg. Spielberg is obviously a master storyteller and so knows a thing or two about blockbusters, but he also no stranger to the gaming world. A long-time gamer himself, he conceived the original idea behind Lucas Art’s PC/Mac title The Dig, but busting these BLOX is an entirely new concept. Levels and Levels of Fun A Puzzle/Action game inspired by Spielberg's own search for a game that he would enjoy playing with his own kids, BOOM BLOX is designed specifically with the strengths and versatility of the Wii in mind. In it players can look forward to a fast-paced gameplay blending the simplicity of the wildly popular block game Jenga and the crazy complexity of a Rube Goldberg machine--devices that although performing very simple tasks are designed to do it by the most complicated means possible.BOOM BLOX features over three hundred levels, a variety of activities, a cast of over thirty wacky characters, and an easy-to-use in-game editor that allows players to express their creativity. It’s visceral gameplay is perfectly suited for the Wii’s interactivity. The action gets going fast and the fun never ends as you throw baseballs, blast lasers, save wacky animal characters, explore cool worlds and more!... making it the ultimate Wii blox-buster for 2008.Features:- Throw, grab, and blast your way through 300+ levels - Use fun action gestures and crazy virtual tools (like bowling balls, baseballs and fire hoses) to destroy your way through over 300 brain-twisting challenges.

Players can also virtually build anything they can dream up. This makes for nearly endless play and replay options in what promises to be the latest must-have Wii title for the entire family.

This turns out to be a very challenging game. It can get very competitive when playing others, which makes it even more fun to play. This is fun for all ages. I am 62 and have a great time with it, and my grandson requested it for Christmas this year which made buying a gift for him very easy.

Great game. My sons (4 and 6) and I love it. There are many different modes and you can create your own levels. There are competitive and cooperative multiplayer levels, so you have a lot of options.

We have had this game for a few weeks now and it is nothing short of amazing. The fact that the blox and the characters all have different characteristics makes the game fun and challenging. We haven't unlocked all of the levels yet, so there is still more to look forward to. An added bonus is the fact that you can create your own levels using the same blox and characters. My kids have been very creative in creating their own levels. I would highly recommend this game for the Wii.

it excels beyond any other console in the puzzle genre. Being a multi-console owner, I hardly turn to my Wii for extensive gaming, but it is very easy to get lost in the addicting game play of Boom Blox. The title conists of a small amount of mechanics, but the puzzles and goals are built to be very challenging. You will find yourself starting a puzzle to pass a small amount of time, and end up playing for a matter hours. The game has a small adventure mode that consist of several different stories ... To describe this game I would say it's a cross between Jenga, Duck Hunt, and the baseball knock down carnival games. It's pretty fun to play with friends and family. Just so you know your arm will get sore after about 20 minutes of play because of all the throwing, shooting and pulling you do in this game.
It's cool that you can make and play levels you create, but the Wii is limited in how much can be on the screen at one time. Even if you don't reach that limit and play the level, the processing ... Read More
