As children, Ja-Ha (Seo Do Young, Sea God) and Eun-Young ( Han Hyo Joo, By Land And Sky) live in an isolated island village. When Ja-ha's father leaves him alone, Ja-ha fears his father may not come back. While making arrangements to run away, he meets Eun-Young, a sweet but sickly village girl. i thought it was a great series, the music was beautiful and i thought the cast was more realistic than normal, apart from the obligatory heart disease which they just had to throw in. if you skip episodes 2-4 or just hold the fast forward button cause it's basically rather unnecessary then everything's great. it's a very pure train wreck coincidence romance. it was refreshing to have a sweet girl instead of sassy lead female, and a non-businessman lead role, cause business really is boring in real ... I watched this series after watching "My lovely Sam-Soon," "My Tutor Friend," and "My Sassy Girl," (all three have fantastic female characters) and even if I hadn't, I still would have wanted to throttle "Spring Waltz"'s lead female character. The lead female character might as well be a door mat, she is about as dense, bland, and boring as they get. After viewing a few episodes online, I decided to purchase this mini-series. Even not knowing the language, I could tell there were many edited scenes from the original series. The story is good. The actors/actresses are good but in my opinion the editing was much to be desired. Still a good story but more of the original should have been left in for all to see.

This drama is so beautiful, and I enjoyed it when it was broadcasted in Japan.
However, I later knew that the version which had been broadcasted in Japan was "director's cut" edition, and that each episode only lasts for around 50 minutes.
In original "uncut" version, each episode lasts from 50 upto 68 minutes, and I think this is a big difference. I once had a chance to see "uncut" version, and I enjoyed it very much!
