Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Rainbow Brite is a little girl whos life is dedicated to bringing beauty and happiness to the World. She is assisted by her magic Color Belt, Star Sprinkles, her faithful horse Starlite, and her personal sprite Twink. She lives a charming life with the Color Kids in the wonderful Rainbowland. But alas, everything is not always peaceful as it would appear. Rainbow Brite and company are occasionally under attack from the demented Murky Dismal and his partner Lurky from the gloomy Pits, whos sole purpose is to bring gloom & misery, and a lack of color to everything that is colorful and good. Thankfully, Rainbow Brite and her friends are on hand to stop them at every turn. The set features 13 episodes

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Show!
This is a great 80's show. The quality is very much like watching a VHS tape. It would have been nice if it had been digitally remastered. The color sometimes goes quite light. All things considered I am SO HAPPY to be able to share the adventures of Rainbow Brite and the Color Kids with my own children. My near 4 year old son asks to watch this DVD every day.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - I'm glad there is a DVD out even if it is poorly made
This DVD was poorly made, the menus and stuff were beautiful, but the episodes just didn't have that "retroness" to them, as in the picture quality seemed kind of dimmed down. I have some episodes on a DVD that had better picture quality that kept its "retroness". The DVD would freeze up in some parts, but other than that it did play great. The audio could have been better too. I had to turn the volume way up in order to listen to it.

However, this DVD will last me until there is ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - WAIT! SAVE YOURSELF TONS OF MONEY!

eBay is selling this brand new for only 29.99!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Oh, the memories . . .
I loved Rainbow Brite as a kid and for those who want to take a nostalgic turn in rainbow land, this is a great buy I know its not an "official" release, but its worth it. It does come with some problems, sometimes the sound is "off", and my collection is actually missing episode #3: Peril in the Pits, but its stil great to be able to watch this old cartoon and to share it with my neices. A wonderful purchase for anyone looking for something fun to watch with kids.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Worst buy ever!
Problems, problems, problems!!! First it came late then the first dvd wouldn't even play! The second dvd played somewhat better but froze on it's own every once in awhile and would freeze when I tried to go back or move ahead. This was an overpriced rip off!
