When I first received the product, I thought it was one that I had already purchased for my grandsons. However, when they began to play it, it was quickly apparent that while it used some of the same games as in other "I Spy" games, it was a totally revamped set of games to play with them. The boys (ages 6 and 3) love it! It is just as challenging as the originals were and gives them a good challenge all over again. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the "I Spy" series of games. I am so glad that I bought this computer game for my kids before reading the reviews on this site!
Look, we don't have a lot of computer games and we had just recently discovered the I Spy books about 1 year ago. We loved them so much that I do believe we'd read nearly all of them before I saw this game for sale. I purchased several of the I Spy series software for my daughter. We have both Mac and PCs in our household and the software will not work on Mac 10.4 or above. It will gladly use Mac 9, but one would have to be a caveman to be using that version.
As for Windows, it took us several attempts and a few patches to get the software to run on a 64bit system...

If you like the I Spy games/books, you will love this one. It is a review of the other games with many of the same settings. Great potential for language growth and logic skills.

My afterschool kids and I all love the I SPY computer games but were disappointed in I SPY MYSTERY because it is made up of puzzles that are in all of the other I SPY games. There was nothing new. Also, the game cost $19.99 plus shipping and I was disappointed to see it the following week in Target for $9.99. The overall layout of the game as far as them being separated into "files" was fun but we just wish the puzzles had been new.
