It is difficult to imagine life without a TV and even more difficult to have a TV program without a "commercial break." Every program, every channel spices up viewing time with TV ads as never before. When TV commercials were first introduced, there was a novel quality about them. They introduced you directly to the products and explained their use and functioning. The audience was captivated by the information provided, which was cleverly designed to whet one’s appetite, and those "hooked" went out to buy.
Presented in this 2-DVD set are 40 TV commercials, which make this a veritable bounty for the adman, student or professional dealing with advertising, for it takes one through the pages of advertising history. By knowing the past one builds a solid foundation for the future and I am convinced that anybody who owns and examines the rare clips on this DVD will be suitably rewarded.

I had gotten the Comprehensive bundle pack. These were not in them. I liked the others so much, I bought this also. Great addition to my a2zcds collection.

I got this DVD as part of the bundle pack. I wish I had just bought all the advertising DVDs that way. I have purchased most seperately. The content is great.

I have to say I laughed out loud at some of the early commercials on this set.
Yes, the production values were "interesting" back when television was starting out - but the results are so funny it doesn't matter.
I bought this DVD on a lark just to see what it was all about and could not believe how silly television advertising was in primative times.
The ads are better than some movies I've seen lately.

I'm sure this DVD won't be for everyone, but it sure put a smile on my face.
I've joked with my friends before that when I watch TV, sometimes the ads are more interesting than the shows themselves and this just proves the point.
These ads are often hysterical and brought me back to my youth.
I'm sure that a lot of younger people won't get why they are so funny, but for those of us out there - you know who you are - who remember Snap Crackle Pop, this is outstanding!
