I saw this in the bargain bin, so I thought, why not give it a shot. I love RTS games and business sims. This is neither. There is no strategy, there is no challenge, there are no real objectives. All you do is plop down businesses in accordance with the demographic data in the area. You can't set prices. You can't choose products. You can't raise or borrow money. This was not a good game at all. It is old and accomodates old graphics cards and drivers and not the ones used today. I think it is time for the seller to retire this, throw it out and cut your losses befoer they get a reputation for selling old stuff that does not work well.

As tycoon games go, this one's pretty mediocre, all right. However, what's really fun about it is not the recreation, but instead the re-creation, in loving detail, of Manhattan Island.

You build your businesses, if you get enough of the same kind then you build a headquarters and you make money. No, you can't lose money, I like that, ... Read More

The basic premise that surrounds this game is almost inrivaled in the world of tycoon games. They really spared no effort creating a game that was full of variations. There are tons of buildings to choose from, and several different regions of Manhatten in which to build, all of which are unique. I started playing this game with extremely high expectations.
And those expectations were dashed. There is no challenge to the game, and dispite the numerous cool graphs and charts that detail earnings ... Read More
