Editorial Review:

Description:
In this rousing, magical adventure filled with whimsy, laughter and charm, a host of fun-loving characters takes you on an unforgettable journey in a land called Dapplewood. One day, three Furling friends, Abigail the wood mouse, Edgar the mole and Russell the hedgehog, find their tranquil lives greatly disrupted. A chemical spill has destroyed Dapplewood and their young friend Michelle becomes seriously ill from the toxic fumes. Counting on their own ingenuity and the skills they learned from thier teacher Cornelius, they take off on an exciting, but dangerous journey to find help for their friend. Their wisdom soon pays off and they set about to restore Dapplewood to its original splendor.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - If you want your six year old to have nightmares for a week, this movie will do it!
Grandma bought this disc for our collection, and I innocuously put it in the player one wintry Friday evening for my four children. Being busy doing some cleaning, I find my four year old daughter tugging on my shirt sleeve, tears in her eyes, asking - "You won't die, will you daddy?"

It turns out that the plot of this wonderful 1990's film hinges on an entire town of cute and fuzzy animals being killed by a toxic gas spill. I'm just trying to imagine the discussion to green light ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - a memory with my granddaughter
When my granddaughter was younger she always wanted to watch this movie.Although she watched other movies she would still watch this when she came to visit.I in no way, nor did she find this movie boring. It had imagination and compassion. It showed friends helping friends in a time of need and in a time of danger. It showed how to be brave and caring. It showed how to rise upon tragedy.I have been trying very hard to find this on DVD to give to my granddaughter as a memory. She will be 13 and I know ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Ordering from Amazon
I was very pleased with how easy it was to find and order things on Amazon. My order was delivered on time from Amazon. The DVD that I ordered was given as a gift and the child loves it. I have used Amazon in the passed and I will continue to order.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - A decent ninties movie
This is and old movie that has been around for a long time in it's theatrical form. This movie was released in theratical real form all the way back in 1993 when I was about seven years old. However for reason I do not know it took about eight years after it was first released before it was again reformated again and released in VHS format in early 2001. A word of warn even though this movie got a G rating it has some parts in it that might be to intense for kids under the age of 7. This movie is ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Childhood wonders regained.
My grand daughter and I watched this twice a week for months when she was 4 or 5. Our reunion with Once Upon a Forest was cause for celebration, and also for wonderment, as we saw it with older eyes, and wondered even at ourselves, who we could have been "way back then."

Thanks for having it available. Kenny
