Editorial Review:

Description:
Pumpkin Season is a Read-A-Long DVD Picture book for children of all ages. It is a wonderful story about what goes on in a pumpkin patch during the fall season. Our story revolves around a cute little pumpkin named Reggie. He can't wait to go to the jack-o-lantern auditions and play pumpkin games at the seasonal patch parties. However, in pumpkin society you either qualify to become a jack-o-lantern, or you are kicked out of the patch and made into pie by the Bakerman!

The Bakerman never makes pies out of the official jack-o-lanterns, but he has a big pie order to fill and now all pumpkins are up for grabs, especially Reggie. Reggie's courage and determination unites the pie pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns, and they all join together to defeat the Bakerman. The jack-o-lanterns finally realize that big or small, scary or not, they are all the same. And from now on all pumpkins will be Holiday jack-o-lanterns, thanks to Reggie.

Special Features Include: Your choice of male or female narrator (kids pick in the menu options). On-screen story text so children can read along. A picture gallery with a musical track featuring full screen images from the story, as well as bonus pictures not featured in the story. The illustrations are highly detailed and colorful 3D computer generated.

Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Boring & overpriced
I bought this for my children and they couldn't get through it. It is very dull and basically just a book being read outloud. I wish I had read these reviews before buying it. I recommend "Spookley The Square Shaped Pumpkin" instead. My kids loved that DVD. It was much more interesting, and cheaper, than this boring book read aloud DVD.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Disappointed
Wish I had seen the boring review before I purchased the DVD for my 4 year old grandaughter. I was expecting a movie with a read along book ( guess I didn't read close enough) My granddaugher loves books and movies , but this was neither and was boring. I didn't enjoy even listening to the story myself. Was overpriced considering the DVD Spookley is so much better. She begs this to be read to her and to watch the movie. Was a waste of $$$$ in my opinion.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Boring
For $20 this is WAY overpriced. The narration is either boring with no expression - or sounds like the reader is rushing through it. Buy Spookley the Square Pumpkin for half the price and twice the entertainment.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good
My child loves this dvd. She watches it all of the time. Very entertaining.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - pumpkin season
I recently purchased this dvd for my 3 kids (ages 2, 4, and 8). All of them thought it was fantastic. My youngest ones watched it repeatedly. My oldest also loved the pictures and the story. It was worth the purchase! I highly recommend it.
