From what I can tell the people who had problems with this were probably using NT or Vista and/or not reading info with game. I've used it on 3 different computers and works perfect on all 3 even my old out dated sluggish beat up IBM R40 laptop. I think the best thing overall about game is that it is playable and enjoyable by both adults (over 40) and kids (at least my 16,14, & 10 year olds like it). 1- The software doesn't work properly, and there are no instructions provided in the booklet. 2- The tutorial doesn't work properly either; I found myself driving the boat in circles without being able to accelerate or get into deeper water, and casting the rod is also impossible. There are no instructions on locating and using the fishfinder/sonar device, choosing bait, etc. 3- WORST of all, I followed the help advice and emailed the software manufacturer for assistance, but nobody responded! My sister got this game for me on my 9th birthday. I loved it and still love it. So that tells you kids can like it to. If your child has an interest in fishing I would get this game for them because children can get impatiant, but fish bite in under a minute. The only thing hard is the controlls (but you can change them by going to options an clicking controlls.) This game came out in late 2003 or early 2004. I decided to try this fishing game to see if it was any good, so I got myself a copy of Rapala Pro Fishing.

Find myself yelling back at the guide who is trying to provide useful information. But all in all, fun to play. My 14 year old grandson liked it real well.
