The concept of Apples to Apples is pretty easy: match the adjective card on the table with a noun or verb card from your hand. But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Watch hilarity ensue as players match terms like "Fluffy" to "Mildew" or "Sticky" to "Horror film." While it may be limited by the hand of cards you’re dealt (what if you don’t have a perfect match for "Harry Truman"?), there is some strategy to the game. Each round of card matching is judged by a different player at the table. So you can use it to your advantage to play a card that you know is a shoo-in for certain judges.
 | | Use the red cards in your hand to make hilarious matches to the green card on the table. | When someone wins a round, they place that Green Apple card in front of them on the table. This, effectively, is the point tracking system and eliminates the need for pen and paper. Since the person who has gathered the most Green Apples is the winner at the end of the game, it behooves players to lobby for their cards. Again, hilarity ensues.
The fact that everyone is judge at some point makes this game all-inclusive. The fast pace and lack of accessories make it portable. Fun game for people of different skill levels. No time limit so game could be as long or as short as you'd like.

APPLES TO APPLES is a fun game that is very helpful in starting conversations and getting to know other players better. I've played it with people from nine to ninety-two and they all could participate and enjoy the game though the older set needed more explantion about pop culture and the younger needed more vocabulary defined. To be fair each card does explain the significance of the given word, phrase or person. And after all it just comes down to goofy fun in the end anyway.

This is hands down the funnest game I've ever played! The more people the better!!

As sceptical as I first was when I saw the box, Apple to Apples has turned into a favorite at game nights my husband and I host. This game really helps loosen up the crowd and players get to learn a lot about other player's humor type and intellect. I have also played this with my family, and while my 12 year old brother doesn't always know what some of the cards mean, we all thoroughly enjoy it!

A surprise hit! I have yet to find anyone who doesn't enjoy this game. We take it with us to family gatherings as well as get-togethers with friends - it can be played on several different levels! Easy to learn and it keeps conversation going. Just plain fun. I just bought the junior version for my son for Christmas!
