Amazon.com Review:
Treasure Planet is an action-adventure game that plays at a tilted, isometric angle and has many platform game elements. As Jim Hawkins (a character from the movie), you run around, jump a lot, pick up items, and fight the likes of Meltdown, Noggin, Delilah, and Rusty Robot. When riding your Solar Surfer, you can speed up, jump, and shoot from your cannon. While the gameplay obviously involves some cartoony combat, Treasure Planet is more of an exploration and puzzle-solving game--in fact, most of the special moves Jim can do aren’t combat-based at all. For example, with your shape-shifting buddy Morph, you can do various combo morph moves such as seeing far away, jumping extra high, performing feats of amazing strength, lighting up dark areas, and becoming a storm cloud.

Treasure Planet captures the feeling of the movie quite well. The way the levels are set up and the way the music sets the mood puts you right in the movie. And to really make you feel part of the action, there are actual cutscenes from the movie. The only downside to Treasure Planet is that there is no battery save feature, though you can save your game via password. This gives the game a slightly rushed-to-production feel. That aside, Treasure Planet is a great title for kids and any fan of the movie. --Bryan Karsh

Pros:
  • Great graphics and music
  • Actual cutscenes from the movie
  • Solar surfing. Need we say more?
  • Special morph moves add originality
Cons:
  • Password save only

Amazon.com Product Description:
Based on Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, Disney's Treasure Planet tells the famous tale as a sci-fi adventure. The central character, Jim, embarks on a journey in search of the legendary "loot of a thousand worlds." Befriended by his ship's charismatic cyborg (part man, part machine, part cook) John Silver, Jim blossoms. He shows the makings of a fine space traveler as he progresses through the game, battling with supernovas, black holes, and ferocious space storms.

This game is great it's sort of challenging at the start when
you have to collect pieces of the solar surfer but I found out a

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fun and Challenging at the same time by Richard Royston
The secret of this game still confuses me. But it's a great game. You play as Jim Hawkins with a bubbly dude named Morph who has Morph powers. Here are the ones I've Unlocked: Morph Cam,Morph strength, Morth Vautz ( Higher jump ), Morph leap, Morph smash etc. here is what they do.

Morph cam: Hold down R And you can look all over the room your in.

Morph strength: Hold down R lets you push heavy boxes for Jumping.( use the morph vaultz next)

Morph vaultz: Hold down ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - fun, frustrating and then fun again
I got this game for my 8 year old grandson and for me because I liked the movie more than he did. Once I started playing it I couldn't put it down. Some of the levels are fairly straight-forward, but not easy and the solar surfer levels are very very hard. Once you get to the last level they throw you a curve and the last threshold to the end of the game is not where you expect it to be. All in all a very challenging GameBoy game for an adult. Probably your average 12 year old gameboy kid could whip ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - It's Too Dang Hard
THE TITLE OF THE REVIEW SEZ IT ALL.
THIS GAME IS TOO DANG HARD. I THINK
YOU SHOULD TRY THE PS2 TREASURE PLANET GAME INSTEAD.

THE GAME IS STILL TOOOO DAAANNG HAAARRRD!!

HOWEVER,THE GAME HAS A BETTER SIDE.
THE CHARACTERS ARE NOT AS CUTE AS IN THE PS2 ONE,
