Editorial Review:
Amazon.com Product Description: After years of war, Earth lies in ruins. Now, it is plummeting into the sun. Your only chance for survival is to fight your way onto a shuttle to Mars. In a deteriorating landscape with hostile weather conditions, you'll need all your cunning and intelligence to defeat your enemies.
You can engage in Internet or LAN matches for up to eight players with the multiplayer mode. An easy-to-use map editor lets you create your own mission map and post it to the Internet for immediate download. Mattel Interactive will also make a steady stream of new maps and other surprises available on the Internet.
The completely 3-D landscape demands that you take it into account as you plan your troops' movements. Dynamic weather effects can lay waste to large sections of the territory, and challenging day-and-night cycles will affect your strategy. You'll want to watch the shadows change as the sun rises above the horizon or sinks lower in the sky. Be ready to rethink your strategy as you wage battle on, above, and below the Earth's surface with a full arsenal of aircraft, tanks, robots, ships, and helicopters, or construct your own units from a choice of chassis and weapon systems.

I got this game back when it first came out and was unable to play it because my PC was too slow (my father got the game, he wasn't aware of the specfications - parents...). Anyway, we purchased a new PC about one year later, but by that time I had forgotten about "Earth 2150." However, I found it one day and being the strategy-game crazed maniac I am, I played it. Sure as hell, my machine ran the game like a charm and all I have to say is that this RTS does NOT disappoint in the slightest: allow ... Read More

My friends and I recently re-deiscovered this old classic. We ingage in online battles almost every week; damn is it fun.
The graphics are up to par with the most modern games, and the 3D camera is great. The units are very very diverse, dispite what that other reviewer said. There are mechs, tanks, helicopters, hover vehicles, anti-grav vehicles, ships, and boats. You can build bridges, dig trenches, build tunnels - what other game lets you do that? This game involves so much strategy ... Read More

just wanted to make a note that earth 2150 and moon project also play on windows 2000. A similar game to pick up is empire earth. you will spend plenty of hours multiplayer, or single player it is very challenging, multi tasking at its best, but very enjoyable.

The game is good but the building and all units are the same color and it is hard to tell who is who and what is what. The graphics may look good generally but if you look closely the details on some things are horible! The guys who made that game made the units with diffreent shapes and lines so it make it even harder to see. Units and building are so covered with shapes and lines, that it reminds me of a low budget movie. Also when it is night in the game, You cant see anything! I have a 100% vision my ... Read More
