Editorial Review:
Product Description: This deluxe kit is a real blast! 725 shapes will cover your ceiling with the starry sparkle of space. A star chart is included, so you can create classic constellations or make your own astronomical arrangements. You can even design new galaxies! A special phosphorescent formula gives these glow-in-the-dark stars a life that's almost as long as the real thing: they're rechargeable so they won't wear out. Just expose them to light and they're ready to glisten once more.
Editorial Review: This Star Explosion kit allows children to create a universe in their own bedrooms. With over 500 glow-in-the-dark adhesive pieces to choose from (including stars of all sizes, comets, asteroids, and spiral galaxies), junior astronomers can create star displays, black-hole effects, and, with the aid of the included star map, actual constellations. There are 364 small (.25-inch to 1.5-inch) star stickers and about 200 larger (1.5-inch to 5.5-inch) plastic shapes that adhere to walls and ceilings with the putty that comes with the set (it's safe to use on most surfaces). The stickers and plastic shapes are made of Glominite, a safety-tested product that stores light. Each time the Glominite shapes are exposed to light, they recharge--so that the glowing keeps on going. --Kathryn Gustafson

There are about 30 large star items (like the big star & swirl you can see on the front of the box) + many, many small, medium, and large stars for constellations + 2 sheets of tiny stars for the milky way.
Our astrophysicist-majoring son put these up for our elementary-age son with about 1/2 of the summer-sky constellations (which works out perfect for spacing as well as the number of stars in the package) and it was a great bonding time for them and a memory every night when ... Read More

This makes a wonderful impression for my newborn grandson's nursery ceiling and walls. It glows when you first shut the lights off and lets him look up at his ceiling at stars and planets and my son and daughter-in-law had a ball putting them up for him. Thanks so much for completing his nursery so beautifully.

I purchased these for my sons' room. There were plenty of stars and galaxies. The glow a long time on little light and are a big hit.

I gave this as a birthday gift to a seven year old who is interested in astronomy. He absolutely loves it! His mom said that his sister wants to sleep in his room, and she said she's even been tempted because it's just so beautiful in his room when they turn out the lights.

I bought these for my 5 year olds birthday, she absolutly loves them. One month later she still ooohs when the lights go out. They glow much brighter than the ones I picked up elsewhere and they were a fraction of the cost.
There is not enough tack to put them all up, and I am really conservative with it, but no biggie I just bought some from the store. The star charts were pretty confusing and it really would take a good effort to make them so we just placed them all over her ceiling.
