Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Dog Dice is a great game for families to play together. You can win no matter what your age. All you need is a keen eye, a sense of humor, and a little luck. Dog Dice is lots of fun, but it also helps build critical learning skills, like visual scanning and discrimination. If you're mathematically minded, try to figure out possibilities of different picture combinations. (We'll start you out - it's twice as easy to roll Gizmo or Stretch as it is to roll McDuff or Gigi.) The social skills the game teaches are just as important, though. There's no better way to learn the value of patience, discipline, and good sportsmanship than to play a great game! Includes 2 dice, 4 bingo boards, 48 bones, and rules of play in English and Spanish.

Amazon.com:
Gamewright's Dog Dice, a Bingo game with a variety of lovable canine personalities, is an addictive pleasure for both kids and adults. Rather than numbers, the playing boards are decorated with squares depicting four dogs eating, frolicking with their child-owner, groveling for food, and getting into mischief. The title refers to the two dice that act as command central of the game: one die features the four distinctive dogs (Gizmo the mutt, Stretch the dachshund, Gigi the poodle, and McDuff the Scottie); the second die displays elements of a dog's life (pictures of a bone, food dish, the kid, a doghouse, plus the word trouble). Players match the two dice to a square on their boards--Gizmo in his doghouse, for example--then mark that picture with a small cardboard bone. The first to get a row of marked squares yells "Hot Dog!" and wins. In an ingenious twist, one can also achieve "Hot Dog!" by marking, canine-style, the four corners of one's playing board. The only drawback to this enchanting game is that there are only four boards in the set, thus limiting the number of players. Winner of awards from Dr. Toy and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio. Dog Dice is for two to four players.

My 5&6 year olds played once and where very bored. not much of a challenge maybe with younger children would be good, but the bones you use to mark the board are small would need to be careful how young of a child would be palying.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great game
I'm a counselor for children and have found that kids really take to this game. It's challenging enough to be fun. Talking about how the dogs get into trouble starts good conversations. It is short enough to play several times to give everyone more chances to win.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Our Favorite Game
this is one of our 5 year old's favorite games. We love it as well. It is a type of BINGO game that doesn't use numbers. Any child will love this game! Thumbs UP!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Better than Bingo
Santa left this in our 3 year old daughters stocking (probably because he knew how much we enjoy Landlock, another Gamewright game). She had no trouble grasping the simple rules and yips with glee after every roll. The game has helped her with patience and turn taking and she was very happy to see that dogs can get into trouble too, not just 3 year olds. We've lost a few of the bone place holders but there are lots of spares provided and our dice have held up fine (possibly because we tend to play ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fun Family Game
Our daughter received this game for her 5th birthday. We've enjoyed many hours of playing it with her. It is fun and easy enough for her to play well and win (without cheating). Grownups get into it too! A worthwhile investment and a great edition to your games cupboard!!
