I love horse racing and betting but have never hit anything really big. After reading this book, I feel like its only a matter of time before I hit a big jackpot! I really liked the 3% rule and it makes total sense. The 30/30/40 is fantastic! I can't wait to start wagering and winning some real money and I believe its possible with the teachings in this book. Great read and this book is hard to put down once you start.

In 2007 I retired from a government job and spent more fun time at the track. From years of experience I only played exactas and daily doubles. I did ok, but I very rarely won anything big. Before my husband passed away, we would occasionally play the pick 6 on big carryover days, but we never won. He taught me to be a conservative player.

All of the conepts in this book are covered more coherently and succintcly in Steven Crist's book Exotic betting. There are some decent ideas in here but most of the book is the author telling you how exciting it is to hit the pick six. I don' think you need a book to figure that one out.

When my son can talk me into it, I go with him to the OTB 3 or 4 times a year. I bought this book during a mental break. My thinking must have been that I'd win the pick 6 and really impress him.
The book starts quick and hard, demanding your complete attention. This is going to be some serious stuff. Then chapter after chapter you get caught up in this authors writting style. It's fun, fast and you quickly become deeply immersed into the world of the pick 6 and Kolb's experiences.

Kolb draws a "line in the sand" and says big winners on this side, all others on the other side. The winners side is players who are repeat pick 6 winners, or those who will do what it takes to become a repeat pick 6 winner.
