It took me many years to track down the title of this wonderful book. I remembered it as a child but could not remember the title or author. I happened upon an old book with illustrations that reminded me of this book. I looked up the author, and to my great joy, "Andrew Henry's Meadow" popped up. It was the book from my childhood! I was so happy to find this book for my son. Wonderful illustrations and a story that any boy or girl will fall in love with.

All the other reviewers have said it all before me, so I shall not repeat things again. All I can say and add is that I LOVED this book as a child and I LOVE reading it to my boys now! It has really stood the test of time like her other classic "The Summerfolk", which I also highly reccomend!

I remember checking this book out from Jackson Park Elementary library back in the late 60's. What a fun story for kids to climb into and imagine! I am now nearly 50 years old and still hold this book dear. I purchased a used copy for my daughter and we still enjoy reading it even though she is now a teenager. It is the best book ever for kids. I read this story to my children when they were young. Now they are reading it to their children.
