Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Jen Lancaster was living the sweet life-until real life kicked her to the curb.

She had the perfect man, the perfect job-hell, she had the perfect life-and there was no reason to think it wouldn't last. Or maybe there was, but Jen Lancaster was too busy being manicured, pedicured, highlighted, and generally adored to notice.

This is the smart-mouthed, soul-searching story of a woman trying to figure out what happens next when she's gone from six figures to unemployment checks and she stops to reconsider some of the less-than-rosy attitudes and values she thought she'd never have to answer for when times were good.

Filled with caustic wit and unusual insight, it's a rollicking read as speedy and unpredictable as the trajectory of a burst balloon.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Kindle Edition Blows
I hate it that the footnotes don't show up in the Kindle edition. I kind of feel like I got half a book with them being left out!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fun read!
An easy, fun read. What a sassy book! I loved it and am reading her next one!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - LOL!!
Jen Lancaster is one of the most hilarious chick lit authors I have come across so far. This is the first in a series of books which she has written which will keep you laughing from start to finish!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Self-centered is right!
This book is very funny, but I this author really does love herself! The book is a bit of a run-on in terms of the message, and you can skip a chunk of it without getting confused. It's cute, but I've read better books in this genre.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Dont you just LOVE me!!
This book is just not funny enough. The author is throroughly despicable of course and while she pays lip service to this fact you get the idea that she really does believe that she is adorable. This doesn't go down well to an Australian audience. The kind of mouthy, self important egomaniac portrayed here would have her butt kicked promptly and we would delight in her downfall and not particularly want to see a rehabilitation. It didn't seem to go anywhere and I just didn't care what happened to ... Read More
