I bought this book at the store after having picked it up to look at it. I love it! I have such a hard time finding cute, good books about God to share with my 2 year old that hold her attention and are relevant to her world AND are sound theologically. So many are just regular books with "Jesus" thrown in for good measure, but this one does a good job of showing God's handiwork through creation and giving examples of how we can be reminded of His presence through ordinary objects and events. This book fell well below my expectations. The top of each page gives a short story or explanation, told in rhyming verse. The bottom of each page reiterates the something specific that starts with the featured letter. For example: "Apples and Acorns and all sorts of things -- Let's find the blessings that God's autumn brings. A is for Apple."
The bold illustrations show diverse characters through great contrast and rich colors.

I was so excited to receive this book. It was something I waited a while to get. The content of the book is great - simple, easy-to-understand format makes reading aloud fun and enjoyable. However, the pictures a quite disappointing. I was hoping for more clean, vibrant details but instead saw "dark" looking pictures and unattractive faces. There is a person with a face on almost every page and they are not very nice to look at. I would consider some of them scary even. The other art work is well done just ... Read More
